Programmatic Accreditations

INFORMATION SYSTEMS ENGINEERING, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ACCREDITED BY ABET

These three Engineering academic programs have been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET, United States). Such institution has accredited the Engineering academic programs of other universities, such as Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, Stanford, UCLA, Yale, among others.

INFORMATION SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

Engineering program accredited by the Institute for Quality and Accreditation of Computer, Engineering and Technology Programs (ICACIT) for complying with the international standards required for its teaching.

THE ONLY LAW PROGRAM IN SOUTH AMERICA TO BE ACCREDITED BY CONAED

This academic program has been granted an accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Legal Education (CONAED, in Spanish), a distinguished institution recognized by Mexico's Federal Government. Such institution has also accredited the Law programs of other universities, such as Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (TEC, in Spanish), among others.

COMMUNICATION AND JOURNALISM PROGRAM REACCREDITED BY CLAEP

The Latin American Council for the Accreditation of Education in Journalism (CLAEP), created by the Inter American Press Association (IAPA), is dedicated to fostering and promoting excellence in the professional teaching of journalism and freedom of the press. Achieving CLAEP accreditation demonstrates the high standards of academic and teaching quality of the program, which are aligned with the expectations and demands of today's labor market.

The program has been reaccredited for the third time by CLAEP, in the 2014-2020 period. In 2020, as a result of the global health emergency generated by Covid-19, CLAEP extended the accreditation of the program for the 2020-2022 period, with the next reaccreditation visit scheduled for the August-September 2022 period.

COMMUNICATION AND ADVERTISING ACADEMIC PROGRAM ACCREDITED BY IAA

This academic program has been granted an accreditation by the International Advertising Association (IAA, United States) for providing specialized education that meets the highest academic quality standards.

NUTRITION AND DIETETICS, MEDICINE, DENTISTRY, PHYSICAL THERAPY, PSYCHOLOGY, AND EDUCATIONAL AND PEDAGOGICAL MANAGEMENT ACCREDITED BY SINEACE

In 2018, under the new educational program accreditation model, the Medicine, Dentistry, Physical Therapy and Psychology programs were accredited for 6 years, the maximum period granted by SINEACE. This important achievement demonstrates that these programs meet high quality standards and evidence— through the students' learning outcomes and the attainment of educational objectives by graduates—the academic excellence in the education UPC provides.

In 2020, the Nutrition and Dietetics program was re-accredited by SINEACE for a 6-year period, by demonstrating high quality standards in the training of its students, the achievement of educational objectives by its graduates, as well as the permanent monitoring of students' learning outcomes for the purpose of continuous improvement. Thus re-asserting the solid commitment to promoting the education of leading professionals who stand out in Peru and the world.

In 2020, the Educational and Pedagogical Management program achieved accreditation with SINEACE in its two specialties: Childhood and Early Childhood. This recognition reaffirms the high academic quality standards in both specialties, the development of a competency-based training process, a first-rate learning experience that integrates research throughout the curriculum, the integration of learning technologies that foster creativity and innovation in students, as well as the commitment to training leaders in the education sector who contribute to the development of the sector in the country and promote education for sustainable development in all areas of intervention of students and faculty.

ON-CAMPUS AND ON-LINE MASTER’S PROGRAM IN ADMINISTRATION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

In April 2014, the On-campus Master’s Program in Administration and Project Management of UPC’s Graduate School became the first program in South America to be accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC). The PMI®-GAC is the accrediting agency that recognizes the highest quality standards of programs that confer an academic degree in Project Management.

In July 2018, the On-line Master’s Program in Administration and Project Management of UPC’s Graduate School was awarded accreditation by the PMI®-GAC, thus becoming in the first on-line program in South America to be accredited.
