Gertrudis Payàs holds a PhD in Translation Studies and specializes in the history of translation and mediation in colonial and post-colonial American contexts. She has published the reprint of Biblioteca Chilena de Traductores, 1810-1924, by José Toribio Medina (2007), the version "for current reading" of Parlamentos hispano-mapuches, 1593-1803 (2018); and in co-edition: La mediación lingüístico-cultural en tiempos de guerra (2012); The Hispanic-Mapuche Parlamentos; Intercultural Studies from Southern Chile (both in 2020), and El protectorado de indígenas en Chile (2021). She is currently the Director of the Center for Intercultural and Interethnic Studies at Universidad Católica de Temuco, and a member of the Alfaqueque research group of Universidad de Salamanca.
Luis Andrade Ciudad holds a PhD in linguistics with a major in Andean studies from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and is a full professor at this university. His topics of interest are Andean linguistics, dialectology of Peruvian Spanish and sociocultural linguistics. He has participated in interdisciplinary research projects on translation and interpretation between Spanish and the indigenous languages of Peru. He has published El castellano andino norperuano. Una historia lingüística y social (Lima: PUCP-Instituto de Estudios Peruanos, 2019). He is currently working on the representations of language in some Peruvian literary works of the twentieth century; in particular, in the narrative of José María Arguedas.
Rosa Luna García holds a PhD in education, a master’s degree in university teaching from UNIFE and a master’s degree in Terminology from Universidad Pompeu Fabra. She holds a degree in Translation from Ricardo Palma University. She is a professor of terminology at Universidad Ricardo Palma and teaches translation and terminology at UNIFE. Her research interests include topics related to socio-terminology, neology, translatology and translation didactics. She is the author of the book Temas de Traducción (2000); co-author of Diccionario para profesionales de la traducción (2017) and Diccionario básico de educación e inclusión lingüística peruana (2019); and author of Diccionarios de bullying and Violencia contra la mujer (2020). She is the head of Ricardo Palma terminology institute (TERMPALMA) and coordinator of UNIFE node of the Neological Antennas Network (jointly with Universidad Pompeu Fabra).
Lydia Fossa has a PhD in colonial literature (University of Michigan), a master’s degree in Linguistics (Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos) and a bachelor's degree in communication sciences from Universidad de Lima. She is the author of books El khipu, clave de la administración Inka; Bajo el cielo de Chuqikirau; Narrativas problemáticas. Los Inkas bajo la pluma española. She is the head of the project Glosas Croniquenses: El mundo andino en lenguas indígenas y castellano (glosascroniquenses.github.io).
